Mrs. Washington Boone died in this city, Sunday, May 3, 1903, at 4:15 p.m., after a lingering illness of several years. Mrs. Boone has been an invalid, having suffered greatly, but always bearing her suffering with much patience. In her home life, before her affliction, she was a devoted wife and mother, ever thoughtful of the welfare of her family and friends and always ready and willing to lend a helping hand in time of sickness and trouble. She was a member of the Methodist church of this city and was a consistent worker in the church.

She was united in marriage to Washington Boone Feb. 27, 1864, who still survives. To this union were born six children, two of whom, Jessie and Bessie are dead. Those surviving are W. J. Boone of Chicago; Mrs. G. F. Dickson, of this city; Scott of Chicago, and Dee, at home. Three sisters survive, they being Mrs. J. A. Harvey, Mrs. Mary A. Warner, of this city, and Mrs. A. R. Burke, of Orion, Il.
