Obituary:
Dorothy E. Borne, 82, of Ft. Wayne, died Tuesday, January 9, 2006 at the Laurels of Dekalb. She was born January 17, 1924 in Ft. Wayne, where she was a life long resident.
Dorothy is survived by one son, Bruce ( Marilou) Borne of Churubusco one Daughter, Julie (Thomas) Snider of Monroeville, and one sister, Janice (Don) Moyer of Arcola. She is also survived by five grandchildren, Amanda Borne, Jody Ream, Haley Ream, Pricilla Snider, JusTina Snider and two great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Arthur and Ruth Hyser, one daughter Bonnie Ream, a sister Donna Hein, a grandson Joshua Snider and a great granddaughter Kellie Wilkes.
Dorothy, a U.S. Navy Veteran, was a former member of the Eastern Star, a Pythian Sister and was a member of the Arcola United Methodist Church.
A Memorial Service celebrating Dorothy's life will be held 2 p.m. Sunday, January 14, 2007 at Arcola United Methodist Church with Pastor Harold Klinker officiating. Burial will be at a later date in Covington Memorial Gardens. Memorials to Arcola United Methodist Church. Arrangements by Covington Memorial Funeral Home 8408 Covington Rd.
