Roger C. Ackley, 76, of 5527 Crews Ave. died at 5:51 a.m. Tuesday, Sept. 30, 2003, at Proctor Hospital in Peoria.
Born March 22, 1927, in Floyd County, Iowa, to Harrison and Gertrude Castle Ackley, he married Marie Brunner on Feb. 10, 1948, in Nashua, Iowa. She survives.
Also surviving are one son, Terry of Tilden; one daughter, Trudy (and Tom) Szerencse of Elkhart, Ind.; one brother, Kenneth (and Bernadine) of Dubuque, Iowa; two sisters, Margaret Hurd of Nashua and Beverly (and Dick) Woods of Hillsboro, Ore.; and three granddaughters.
He was preceded in death by one brother and four sisters.
