Margaret I. (Van Sickle) Gavin of Edison died Friday, September 24th at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital in New Brunswick. She was 72 years old.
Born in Edison, she was a lifelong resident of the township.
Mrs. Gavin was employed as a crossing guard in Edison for 33 years.
She was a communicant of Guardian Angels R.C. Church in Edison.
Margaret was predeceased by her loving husband of 40 years Robert in 2000.
She is survived by 2 sons Michael S. and his wife Christine and James R. Gavin and a daughter Patricia L. Gavin all of Edison; a brother Richard Van Sickle of Reddington; 2 sisters Joyce Dillmeyer of Tampa Bay Florida and Kathy Leeds of Edison. Also surviving are 2 grandchildren Diedre and Matthew.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday September 28th at 8:30 am from the Boylan Funeral Home 10 Wooding Ave. in Edison followed by a 9 am Mass at Guardian Angels R.C. Church in Edison. Burial will be in Van Liew Cemetery in North Brunswick. Relatives and friends may call at the funeral home on Tuesday from 2-4 and 7-9 pm.
