Mrs. Theresa Flynn Alverson, 65, formerly of this city, died in NY Monday afternoon after a long illness. The funeral will be held at 10 o'clock this morning from St. John's church, NY, where a Mass of Requiem will be offered. Burial will be in St. Peter's Cemetery this afternoon.
Mrs. Alverson was a native of this city, daughter of Terrance and Mary Flynn. She attended St. Peter's school and lived in this city until 20 years ago when she moved to NY.
She is survived by her husband, David B Alverson; two daughters, Mrs. Frank Hanley and Sister Teresa Marietta of the Sisters of Charity; a brother, John A Flynn of this city; and 5 sisters, Sister Mary Prudentia of the NY Foundling Hospital, Mrs. John K. Lewis, Sadie, Jennie and Agnes Flynn, all of this city; and several nieces.
