SILVIA BOUDREAUX, on April 30, 1919, Granville Thomas Kemp and Effie McCright welcomed a precious baby girl into their family in Wharton, TX. On September 22, 2010, Silvia Kemp Boudreaux left this earth to join her parents, husband Sidney and daughter Cynthia as well as brothers Clem, Gene and Benton Kemp and one sister, Marguerite Kemp Reising. Silvia is survived by her brothers, Marcy Kemp and wife Reta of McDade, TX and Harvey Kay Kemp and wife Ann of Hayward, CA; grandson, Jason, granddaughter, Melissa and son-in-law, Pat Patton, all of Barnsville, GA and numerous nephews, nieces and a special nephew, Ron Barclay and wife Sandy. In 1939 Sylvia and Sidney eloped to Montgomery, TX and made their home in Houston. They loved to travel and take pictures on their trips. Sylvia was a member of Candlelight Church of Christ and was secretary at Garden Oaks and Brookhollow Churches of Christ. She retired from Houston ISD in 1989 after serving as secretary at Hogg Middle School and was a member of Texas Teachers (TRS).Services will be held on Saturday, September 25, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. with visitation beginning at 10:00 a.m. at Pat H. Foley & Co. Interment will follow at Woodlawn Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to a church or charity of your choice.
