Died, on the 4th. inst., at her late residence on Homer Creek, Mrs. Elizabeth McCaughan, wife of Rev. William McCaughan, after an illness of nine days with lung fever, aged 54 years, 7 months, and 18 days. Mrs. McCaughan married in the twentieth year of her age, leaving the fond embraces of her parents house in North Carolina, has been an orderly member of the Methodist Church, Thirty-Five years, a faithful companion, good mother, and a kind neighbor. She left a husband, ten children, and many warm-hearted friends to mourn the loss of a departed companion, mother and friend.
