Actor. Starred in motion pictures and on the stage from the 1950s to the 1970s. He and his partner were shot to death during a robbery at his duplex, which served as his home and art gallery, and contained paintings and antiques worth millions. In 1981 his assailant was convicted of his murder and sentenced to 25 years to life. None of the stolen items were recovered.
