George Laver was a long time Riverdale, N.Y. resident who was the unofficial caretaker of Riverdale Park. He drove a 1958 Chevrolet until his death, and he kept it in immaculate condition. He was an engineer and an electrician who did work in the Dakota Apartments, which was the residence of John Lennon. George was a great conversationalist who was knowledgeable on many subjects. He did most of his hanging out on Palisade Avenue in Riverdale. He is missed by all the people who knew him.
