Born in Wakefield on June 12, 1915, she was a daughter of the late Frederick and Agnes (Kelly) Ellis. She was raised and educated in Jamaica Plain and settled in West Roxbury following her marriage in 1937.
Marjorie enjoyed employment as a Filene's sales clerk in Chestnut Hill for many years. Fond of dining out with friends and vacationing with family in Chatham and Maine, she could often be found engrossed in a good mystery novel with chocolate nearby.
Predeceased by her husband, Michael J. Keleher, and a daughter, Maureen Keleher, she is survived by a daughter, Susan Fernandes and husband Stephen; a son, Michael Keleher; two grandchildren, Brian and Kate; a sister-in-law, Mary Ellis; and a niece, Joan Sutliff-Sale. She was also the sister of the late William Ellis and Kathleen Sutliff.
