Edward Meier (Meyer, Mier, Muir) was my great grandfather's brother. He moved to Seattle from Detroit about 1893 with his wife Matilda. Edward and Matilda had three children (by census record). The youngest, Paul E Meier is shown to have died in Seattle at age 13 in 1907. Edward's widowed mother, Pauline Meier, is shown living with Edward in Seattle in the 1894-1895 city directory.
