Mrs. Angie Gibson Beard, 49, of near Bamberg, died early today in a Columbia hospital after a long illness. Funeral services were conducted at 11 o'clock Wednesday morning from the Pleasant Hill United Methodist Church. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. Mrs. Beard was twice married, first to the late Melvin Faile. From this marriage she is survived by two children, Mrs. Agnes Faile Clark of Gilboa, W.Va., and Elvin Faile, U. S. Navy, of Norfolk, Va. Other suvivors include her husband, S. Gillie Beard; two sisters, Mrs. Lillie Gibson, and Mrs. S. D. Lane; and two brothers, J. Laz Gibson and Joe Gibson of Ehrhardt.
