Article from the "Beacon" of Spirit Lake, Iowa dated 26 Jul 1928:
The many Terril friends were shocked to learn of the sudden and untimely death of Earl Dana last week in Rochester, Minn. Mr. Dana formerly ran the Lumber Yard at Terril a few years ago. He was residing in Wisconsin at the time of his death. The body was shipped to Britt, Iowa, for burial.

He married Olive Minnie McNabb 8 Jan 1909.
