Dale F. Clayworth, son of John and Nellie(Rockwell)Clayworth was born on July 18, 1930 west of Lacey. He was a 1948 graduate of Lacey High School. On December 3, 1955, Dale was united in marriage to Phyllis Hull in Lacey. They lived in Lacey before moving to New Sharon in 2008. Dale served his country with the United States Army serving in the Korean Conflict. After Dale was honorably discharged in 1953, he joined his uncle Jack Rockwell in the real estate business in the New Sharon and Delta areas. Dale eventually owned his own Real Estate and Insurance Agency in New Sharon for 40 years. He served as president of the Real Estate Board of Oskaloosa from 1961-1971. Dale graduated from the Graduate Realtors Institute in 1975. He was a member ot the Coffin-Miller American Legion Post 446 in New Sharon and a supporter of the V.F.W. Dale enjoyed pheasant hunting as long as his health permitted it.
His memory is honored by his wife of 55 years, Phyllis of New Sharon and many cousins and friends.
