Mark Decker Anderson, 29, died in a drowning accident while kayaking in the Ogden River on Saturday, April 18, 1998.
Mark's passion for nature took him on many outdoor adventures.He was born December 18, 1968, to Delores Decker Simons and Maurice Edwards Anderson. Mark was a graduate of East High School and the University of Utah with a degree in communications. He was employed by Great Western Leasing Company.
He is survived by his sweetheart, Amie Smith; parents and stepparents, Dale E. Simons and JoAnn Anderson; five sisters, Kerry Harkness (Richard), Leslie Tingey (Mike), Debra Anderson, Michelle Giolas, all of Salt Lake City, and Marci Farnsworth (Marty), Phoenix, AZ; and 20 nieces and nephews.
He was loved by family and many friends.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, April 22, at 2 p.m. at Larkin Mortuary, 10600 So. 1700 E., where friends may visit beginning at 12:30 p.m. Interment to follow at Larkin Sunset Gardens.
