Joel Stewart, 72, Live Oak, Fl passed away on Monday, July 4, 2011 after a short illness. The life long resident of Live Oak retired from the Live Oak Fire Department after 35 years. He was a member of the Barrett Masonic Lodge # 43 and of Baptist Faith. He is survived by his wife Linda Stewart, Live Oak, Fl; one daughter: Terry D. Woods, Live Oak, Fl; two sisters: Helen Dennett, Orlando, Fl, Lorene Stewart, Jacksonville, Fl; one brother: Leonard Stewart, Sneads, Fl; three grandchildren: Chelsea Chewning, Caleb Chewning and Logan Woods. He was preceded in death by his parents, JB & Mable Stewart, daughter, Dori Chewning and brother, Elbie Stewart. Services will be held at 11:00 am Thursday, July 7, 2011 at First Baptist Church with Rev. Clarence Parker and Rev. Steve Sweitzer officiating. Interment will follow in Live Oak Cemetery. In lieu of flowers family asks donations be made to the Professional Fire Fighters of Live Oak, 200 NE Duval Street , Live Oak, Fl 32064.
