Ruth Aralene Wheeler Broeker, 75, of Morning Sun, died at 12:45 a.m. Wednesday, March 18, at Burlington Medical Center.

Born February 14, 1912, in Davenport, she was the daughter of Edwin and Lutie Rippey Wheeler.

She married Wallace E. Broeker February 6, 1941, at Davenport. She was a member of the First United Presbyterian Church, Morning Sun.

Surviving are her husband, Wallace; two daughters by marriage: Mrs. Beverly (Elwood) Marshall, DeWitt, and Mrs. Shirley (Larry) Smith, Wapello; and six grandchildren, and six great-grandchildren.

Friends may call 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday at the Pierce Funeral Home, Morning Sun.

Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m. Friday at the First United Presbyterian Church, Morning Sun, with the Reverend Diane Bishop officiating. Burial will be in the Elmwood Cemetery, Morning Sun.

A memorial has been established.
