Angeline's parents immigrated from Yugoslavia around 1910. She and her parents and brothers, John and Tony, were living in Cleveland, Cuyahoga, Ohio in 1920, where her father worked as a car manufacturing company machinist. The family moved from Ohio to Leadville, Lake, Colorado, by 1930, where she was working as a servant for a private family and her father was working as a smelter laborer. Her brother Frank had joined the family.

Angeline married George A. Smith December 31, 1934, in Littleton, Arapahoe, Colorado. They were living in Leadville in 1935, and had moved to Buena Vista by 1940, where George worked as a steam railroad block signal man. George was born about 1901 in Colorado. Their children, Mary and George, were living with them.

Sometime after April, 1940, Angeline found herself in Eagle. On February 23, 1946, she married Marcel Laurent Herin. Marcel was born May 25, 1900, in Italy. His parents were J. Laurent and Rosalie A. Herrin. His known siblings born in Colorado were Robert Peter Herin, Frederick Herin, Vera Sylvia Herin, Albert Herin, Rudolph J. Herin, Rose Josephine Herin, and Lawrence Herin.

Marcel and Angeline moved the family to Glenwood Springs in 1947. Marcel passed away May 1974. Angeline decided to move back to Eagle.

Reading, watching sports and spending time with her family and friends were among the activities Angeline filled her time with.

She was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church and St. Mary's Altar and Rosary Society.

Ending 22 years as an Eagle resident, Angeline passed away at the age of 83, on Tuesday at Valley View Hospital in Glenwood Springs, Colorado, following a brief illness.

Father Ed Pohlman officiated a funeral service Friday, May 10, at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Eagle. Burial followed immediately at Sunset View Cemetery in Eagle.

Survivors included a son and wife of Grand Junction, Colorado; a daughter of Eagle, Colorado; a daughter and husband of Montrose, Colorado; nine grandchildren, nine great grandchildren, two brothers and wives of Buena Vista, Colorado, and numerous nieces and nephews.

Mrs. Herin was preceded in death by her husband, Marcel Herin; brother, John Joseph Propernick; and son-in-law, Willard Eldon Wilson.

Suggested memorial contributions were to be made to the Golden Eagle Senior Center.

Arrangements were taken care of by Farnum-Holt Funeral Home.
