Kenneth Ray Fairchild, 47, of near Spiceland and formerly of New Lisbon, died Wednesday, Feb. 2, 2005, at Hendricks Regional Health Center in Danville.
Born March 29, 1957, in Rushville, he was the son of Dewey R. and Martha R. (Gauker) Fairchild; both survive and reside in Lewisville. He married Sandi S. Werking July 8, 1977; she survives.
Mr. Fairchild was a 1975 graduate of Tri High School. He was a member of New Lisbon Christian Church. He was a scissor truck operator for Morton Buildings in Rushville where he had worked for 27 years.
Survivors in addition to his parents and wife include one son, Kenneth Ryan Fairchild (and wife Carey) of Muncie; one daughter, Ashley Fairchild of Spiceland; four grandchildren; and one sister, Rebecca Ann (Mrs. William) Neal of Lewisville.
He was preceded in death by one brother.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Monday at Marshall & Erlewein Funeral Home in Lewisville with the Rev. Randy Shinolt and the Rev. Micah Weedman officiating. Burial will follow in Lewisville Cemetery. Visitation will be from 2 to 8 p.m. Sunday and prior to services Monday at the funeral home.
