Al was born in McGregor, N.D. He was a machinist for Howard Cooper.
Al is survived by his wife, Virginia; and son, Harold.
He was preceded in death by his son, Wayne.
A graveside service will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 14, 2010, in Springwater Cemetery, Estacada. Arrangements by Hillside Chapel.

ALVIN O. JOHNSON
Aug. 27, 1921 - Sept. 9, 2010
Al Johnson of Oregon City went home to be with the Lord on September 9, 2010.
Al served in the US ARMY AIR CORPS as a young man.
He married the love of his life, Virginia Closner Johnson in 1943. They shared 67 wonderful years together, fishing, hunting and spending time with family.
He was a friend & blessing to all, using his amazing mechanical & building abilities to serve the Lord and those around him. Al also spent hours studying the Bible, wanting to share the gift of the gospel to all those he encountered.
He is survived by and loved by many friends and family including his beautiful bride, Virginia, his son and daughter in law Harold and Cathy Johnson. Four grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren, ages 2-10.
He is preceded in death by his oldest son, Wayne Johnson who passed away in August of 1990.
We all look foreward to the day in heaven when we can be reunited with our dearly beloved "Al".
