ADAMSON - Mrs. Maggie Jane Adamson; well known woman of Centerville who with her son, conducted the Adamson taxi-cab line here until recently, passed away at her home at the corner of Fourteenth and State streets Sunday night after a lingering illness. She was 57 years of age. Complete funeral arrangements have not yet been announced.

Mrs. Adamson was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. James Sinclair and was born near Albia on Nov. 11, 1864, spending the early years of her life there. While she was still a young girl she moved with her parents to Melrose where on Nov. 11, 1891, she was united in marriage to Willis Adamson, who was then engaged in the livery and later in the taxi business. Living in Numa for a time Mr. and Mrs. Adamson moved to this city in 1911 and have resided here continuously since that time.

Two sons were born to Mr. and Mrs. Adamson, James who survives his mother, and Roy who died February 17, 1900. Mr. Adamson also preceded his wife in death, having passed away October 26, 1915. The son, James, is a resident of this city, the mother making her home with him.

The deceased is survived by one sister, Mrs. Anna Cole, of Numa, and two brothers, Robert Q. Sinclair, of Melrose, and James Sinclair, a farmer living near Melrose. One brother, Arthr, preceded her in death.
