Edna was an administrative assistant for Marsh & McLennan and working on the 97th floor of the World Trade Center 1 building on September 11, 2001. She perished that day along with 294 other employees of the firm and 63 contractors who together occupied a total of eight floors in the north building.

Her husband tentatively identified her as the woman who stood at the edge of the impact hole for twenty minutes waving in hope of being rescued. This videotape has been construed by conspiracy theorists as evidence that the tower was not melting because she was able to hold on to the metal wreckage.

Edna was brought to New York by her mother when she was about five years old. She was attending school to obtain her high school equivalency diploma. Edna enjoyed going on cruise vacations, visiting state parks, and taking trips to the casinos in Atlantic City. Her hobby was collecting angels.

She left behind her husband of 12 years.
