Mary R. Armbrust, age 85, of 2958 Maple Avenue NE, Canton, passed away on Thursday, September 9, 2010.

She was born October 21, 1924 in Canton, Ohio, the daughter to the late Laura (Baker) and Royal R. Carnes.

Mary retired from Mastertouch Cleaners. She was a faithful member of the Canton Salvation Army, where she belonged to the Songsters and was a member of the Women's Home League.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Robert; sisters, Florence Murphy, Janet Mardos, Isabelle Carnes, and Esther Fransworth; brothers, Arthur R.D., Kenneth E., William, Gerald, and Virgil. Mary is survived by her two children, daughter, Nancy E. Kent and son, Buddy (Ruth) Carnes; twelve grandchildren; twenty-three great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; brothers, Robert (Pat) Carnes and Alfred (Martha) Carnes; sisters, Ruth Tubbs and Margaret Studer; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Funeral Services will be conducted on Monday, September 13, 2010 at 1:00 p.m. in the Reed Funeral Home Canton Chapel with Pastor Sharon Carnes officiating.
Burial will follow in the Forest Hill Cemetery.
The family will receive friends in the Funeral Home on Sunday, September 12, 2010 from 2:00 to 5:00 p.m. and for one hour prior to the services on Monday from 12:00 to 1:00 p.m.
