Civil War Union Army Officer. He served as a 1st Lieutenant and commander of Battery I, 1st United States Regular Artillery. He was mortally wounded July 3rd, 1863, while repulsing Pickett's Charge at Gettysburg. His unit monument stands in Zeigler's Grove.
