Born in Guyana, he was a native of Waldorf, Maryland. An Information Systems Technician Second Class in the United States Navy, he was working in the Pentagon when American Airlines Flight 77 was deliberately crashed into it by Islamic terrorists.

Romeo Bishundat was born on September 14, 1977, in Georgetown, Guyana, and immigrated to the United States with his family in 1980. He enlisted in the U.S. Navy on September 13, 1995, and completed basic training at NTC Great Lakes, Illinois, in November 1995. Bishundat next attended Information Systems Technician training at NTC San Diego, California, from November 1995 to April 1996, followed by service aboard the guided missile cruiser USS Yorktown (CG-48) home-ported out of Pascagoula, Mississippi, from November 1996 to October 1997. IT2 Bishundat served aboard the amphibious transport dock USS Shreveport (LPD-12) home-ported at Norfolk, Virginia, from November 1997 to March 2001, and then attended additional training at the Fleet Combat Training Center, Atlantic, at Dam Neck, Virginia, from March to May 2001. His final assignment was with the Chief of Naval Operations Telecommunications Center at the Pentagon from May 2001 until he was killed at the Pentagon when islamic terrorists crashed American Airlines Flight 77 into the building on September 11, 2001. Romeo Bishundat was buried at Arlington National Cemetery.
