Max was the patriarch of the Bogdanove Family in America. He arrived on these shores in 1896 and worked for four years to earn passage to this country for his wife Sarah, sons A.J. and Harry and his daughter Lillian. He lived long enough to father an American-born son, Benjamin and see Harry have a tailor's business and A.J.begin his rise to become a prominent muralist and painter. Max was a Rabbi and the son of a Rabbi from Minsk, Russia, he earned his living working as a Cabinet Maker.
