Mrs. Pearl M. Gangwer, 82, died Saturday night at the Hancock County Memorial Hospital at Greenfield. She had been in failing health since April 1966, but had been hospitalized only two days.

Mrs. Gangwer was born in Clinton county on December 28, 1884 and was the daughter of Peter J. and Clara Troxell Beisel. She was married to Noah Gangwer on November 25, 1903 and she and her husband had always lived in the Frankfort and Mulberry communities. After Mr. Gangwer retired in 1951, they moved to Mulberry. For the past ten months they had been living with a daughter, Mrs. Lowell Marsh, Greenfield route 5.

She was a member of the Trinity United Church of Christ.

She is survived by the husband; two sons, Everett Gangwer of Hood River, Oregon and Herman Gangwer of Glen Ellyn, Illinois; two daughters, Mrs. Donald G. Plue of St. Joseph, Michigan and Mrs. Marsh; one sister, Mrs. Daniel I. Mohler of Mulberry; two brothers, Nevin Beisel of West Lafayette and Clarence Beisel of Frankfort route 7; 15 grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren. A son, Russell B. Gangwer, preceded her in death.

Funeral services were held Tuesday afternoon in the Trinity United Church of Christ with the Rev. Walter Vonderohe officiating. Burial was in Fair Haven cemetery.
