Battles were engagement at Soissons Sector in France between July 18 to July 23, 1918. He was also in the Sedan Offense in Nov 1918. He was wounded in action on July 23, 1918, degree of severely. He was also wounded Nov 6th, 1918. He was gassed once and hit by shrapnel the other time, the November wound was a gun shot wound to the left leg. At the time of discharge he was assigned to Company E, 16th Infantry, 1st Division or known as the Big Red One.
