and attended Dix schools. He and Ardys Olsen were married on September 24, 1950. Over the years Robert had careers in auto bodywork, farming and contract pumping of oil wells. He retired in 1995. He had enjoyed spending
his retirement time with his children and grandchildren.
Robert had volunteered for the Dix Volunteer Fire Department and had also been a member of the Town Board for many years.
He is survived by his wife Ardys of Dix, three sons Tim Wistrom and his wife Kathy of Kimball, NE, Steve Wistrom of Cheyenne, WY, and Bob Wistrom and his wife Mary of Sidney, NE, daughter Sonya Geuke and her husband Brad
of Windsor, CO. He is also survived by eight grandchildren, Cassie Wistrom, Jeremiah Wistrom, Anna Wistrom, Austin Geuke, Noelle and Madalyn Geuke and
Josh and Sheena Straub. He was preceded in death by his parents, brother Richard Wistrom and sister Virginia Stormberg.
A funeral service will be held Thursday, April 1st at 10:00 a.m. at the Cantrell Funeral Home in Kimball. The Rev. Virgil Johnson of Dix Bible
Church will officiate. Interment will follow at Dix Rural Cemetery, Dix, Nebraska. Visitation will be at the Cantrell Funeral Home, Kimball, NE from 4:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. on Tuesday and from 9:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. on
Wednesday.
Memorial gifts may be made to the Robert A. Wistrom Memorial Fund in care of the Cantrell Funeral Home.
