Mrs. Mary Billings, 77, a resident of Keokuk for the past 46 years died at 5 O'clock Tuesday afternoon at her residence 1822 Park Street, following a lingering illness.

A daughter of John and Elizabeth Foster Raines, she was born at Anderson, Indiana on June 7, 1867 and was married at Kahoka, MO on May 14, 1887 to Emmett F. Billings, who preceded her in death on July 21, 1933.

Mrs. Billings was a member of the Second Presbyterian Church and of its Ladies Aid Society.

Surviving are four sons, Otto B., Ray F., and Albert E. Billings of Montrose; two daughters, Mrs. Nora Rudd and Mrs. Inez McDonald, both of Keokuk, and James Raines of Olmstead Falls, Ohio; 13 grandchildren, five great-grandchildren and several nieces. Six children died in infancy.
