Three deceased children by Joseph Brooks: William Berrett Brooks, Aaron Burston Brooks, and Cloward Kimball ("C.K.") Brooks.
All three were named after Mormon missionaries who visited Union Parish from 1901 to 1905; Drucilla and her second husband, Joseph S. Brooks, were baptized as Mormons by a missionary from Utah named William S. Berrett on May 9, 1901, in a creek near their home. They named their first son after him, but he unfortunately only lived for three years (1902-1905). He was buried at Rugg's Bluff Cemetery, where many of the early parish Mormons were buried. Drucilla's second husband, Joseph S. Brooks, is buried next to him.
