Susan Elizabeth, daughter of H.D. and Violinder Taylor, was born in Muskingum county, Ohio November 13, 1854. She came to Illinois as a small child. She married Jacob Shewmake October 30, 1875. They had five children. One son and her husband have died. She died July 25, 1940. Susan leaves two sons, Harry of Mt. Vernon and Joe of Orchardville, two daughters, Lillie Aug of Wayne City and Rosa Stull of Orchardville. Burial in Wesley Chapel cemetery.
