JOHNNY VIGLIETTI, 86, of Memphis, died Friday, December 2, 2005 at Quince Nursing Center. Mass will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at the Church of the Resurrection with Rev. Ernie DeBasio, officiating, with burial to follow in Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Monday evening at Memorial Park Funeral Home.
He was born in Memphis and later moved to Savona, Italy. He returned to Memphis at age 17. He was a retired restaurant owner, a World War II Army veteran, a member of the Memphis Italian Bocce Club and a Communicant of the Church of the Resurrection.
He leaves his wife, Helen Viglietti; a son, Jack Viglietti of Memphis; a step-son, David Berretta of Memphis; a brother, Bruno Viglietti, of Savona, Italy, eight grandsons and seven great-grandchildren.
The family requests that any memorials be sent to the Church of the Resurrection.
