BRADY Alice Theresa Jacoby, age 81, of Melvin, Texas, passed away Thursday, June 21, 2012, at her residence in Melvin.

She was born June 19, 1931, in Granger, Texas, to Frank Kohutek and Louise (Mikulencak) Kohutek. She was a homemaker and a lifelong area resident. She was a member of St. Francis Catholic Church in Melvin. She enjoyed fishing, cooking and her grandchildren.

Funeral Mass for Alice Jacoby will be 10 a.m. Saturday, June 23, 2012, at St. Patrick's Catholic Church in Brady with Father Hilary officiating. Burial will follow in Melvin Cemetery in Melvin.

The family received friends Friday evening with a rosary recited at Leatherwood Memorial Chapels in Brady. Friends may view the memorial video tribute or sign the online memorial guestbook at leatherwoodmemorialchapels.com.

Pallbearers will be Adam Jacoby, Holden Jacoby, Dylan Jacoby, Reece Jacoby, Ross Jacoby, Beau Jacoby, Cash Jacoby and Alex Falkenberry.

Alice is survived by husband Recter Jacoby of the home; Malcolm Jacoby of Austin, Jason Jacoby and wife Kelli of Melvin, Randal Jacoby and wife Melissa of Melvin, Latham Jacoby and partner Adrian van Deudekom of Laguna Beach, Calif.; daughter Jill Jacoby and fiance Piet Fourie of Austin; brother Albert Kohutek of Ovala; sister Lorene Kohutek of San Angelo; and grandchildren Adam Jacoby, Holden Jacoby, Dylan Jacoby, Reece Jacoby, Kalen Falkenberry, Alex Falkenberry, Kristyn Jacoby, Cash Jacoby, Beau Jacoby, Bailey Jacoby, Ross Jacoby, Lane Jacoby, Sean Jacoby and Bret Jacoby.

She was preceded in death by her parents; and granddaughter Mallary Renee Jacoby.
