Richard F. Ackley, 57, of Vestal, went to be with the Lord, Wednesday, June 1, 2005.

He was predeceased by his parents, Edward and Fannie Ackley; father, Fred Ackley; father-in-law, Wilmer (Bill) Traver.

He is survived by his life partner, Gloria M. Ackley, Vestal; children, John Ackley, Vestal, Karyn and David Brink, Kirkwood, Kay and Justin Whitman, Chenango Forks, Kerry and Jennifer (Flint) Ackley, Windsor; grandchildren, John Ackley, Vestal, Kristen Klem and Colleen Smith, Chenango Forks. Also survived by his mother, Leah Springer, Endicott; mothers-in-law, Dorothy Traver and Vel Traver; brothers and sisters-in-law, Charles and Mary Ackley, Robert and Kathy Springer, Kevin and Kathy Springer, and Fred and Chris Ackley; a sister and brother-in-law, Francine and David Schroer; in-laws, Dick and Anne Traver, Bobbie and Gordie Vernon, Raymond Traver, Doug and Sherri Traver, Wayne and Janet Traver, Lloyd and Linda Traver, John Traver, and Lawrence and Eileen Traver; close friends, Ed and Nola McCoy, Gene Gurney, Richard Ellis, Dale and Sharon Whitman; and several nieces, nephews, friends and friends.

Richard was a self-employed HVAC technician since 1967, and was an avid fisherman and hunter who enjoyed time with family and friends. Richard will be missed by all who knew and loved him.

Memorial Services will be held Monday, 1 p.m., from the Allen Memorial Home, 511-513 East Main Street, Endicott, with the Reverend Wyatt Buchanan officiating,
