Wife of Frederick Gottlieb Hacker (1849-1934). Mother of twelve children including: Emma Katherine, Carl Frederick "Charlie," Anna Christina, Mary Elizabeth, Adelheid Elizabeth, Franzisca Bonaventura "Frances," Joseph, Anna Caroline, Cecelia Elizabeth and Frederick Aloysius "Fred" Hacker. Adelheide was the daughter of Jacob Bernhardt and Carolina (Berner) Bernhardt.

Obituary from The Quincy Daily Herald, Quincy, Illinois, November 26, 1925, p. 16:

"Mrs. F. G. Hacker.

Mrs. Adelaide Hacker, wife of F. G. Hacker, resident of Quincy for sixty years, died at her home 826 1/2 Sycamore street, at 2:30 o'clock Wednesday afternoon. She bad been ill five weeks, but bedfast only two or three days. Mrs. Hacker was 77 years old. She was born In Stockheim, Germany, December 26, 1948, the daughter of Jacob and Carolina Bernhardt. She came to America and direct to Quincy when 17 years old with two brothers, only one of whom, Adolph Bernhardt, now survives. She was married to F. G. Hacker in St. Boniface church in October 1870 by the Rev. Fr. Schaefermeyer. Besides her husband she is survived by six daughters, two sons, fifteen grandchildren, one great-grandchild, two sisters and three brothers. The daughters are Mrs. Bernard Bocke, Mrs. George Winking. Mrs. George Kuhlman, Mrs. August Ording all of Quincy, Miss Frances B. Hacker of Big Lake, Minn., and Mrs. John Mansur of Elk River, Minn. The sons are Carl F. Hacker of Lake City, Minn., and Fred A. Hacker of New York City. The sisters are Miss Elizabeth Bernhardt of Warsaw and Sister M. Bonaventura of the Notre Dame order, Pine Ridge, South Dakota. The brothers are Adolph of Ellington township, Conrad of Warsaw, and Frank of Quincy. Mrs. Hacker was a devout Catholic, and was one of the oldest members of St. John's church, she was a member of St. Anne's society of St. John's church and of the Third Order of St. Francis."
