W. Kirkpatrick Brice, Former Lima Resident, To Be Buried Here
Relatives in this city received word Saturday telling of the death of W. Kirkpatrick Brice at his home in New York city. He was the second son of Calvin S. Brice, former Lima resident and one time United States senator from Ohio, and Mrs. Calvin S. Brice, both deceased.
Kirk Brice, as he was known to his many friends in this city, was born in Lima in August, 1874 and spent his early boyhood here. He left Lima when his parents moved to the east a number of years ago and has since resided there.
Brice has been seriously ill for several months, but his death was unexpected at this time among his friends in this city.
Surviving are one sister, Miss Helen O. Brice, New York city and one brother, John Francis Brice, Eddington, Pa. A brother, Stewart Brice and a sister, Miss Kate Brice, preceded him in death. In Lima he leaves two aunts, Mrs. I. S. Motter of W. Spring St. and Mrs. O. B. Selfridge, W. Market St.
Interment will be made in Woodlawn cemetery upon arrival here of the funeral party on Tuesday morning, following a funeral service in New York city. The services in this city be limited to that at the grave at 3 p.m. with Rev. Samuel Huecker, of the Market Street Presbyterian church presiding.
