Aurora P. Abundis, born in San Antonio, Texas February 8, 1931, went to meet her Maker and Savior our Lord on August 14, 2004. Aurora was a loving wife, aunt, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend.

At the age of 18, Aurora helped to raise her brothers and sisters after her mother's early death. She worked for 24 years for Jacob Rubiola Insurance Agency before establishing her own Insurance Agency in 1972. Aurora, along side her husband, owned and operated a successful restaurant and tortilla factory "Don Carlos" from 1980-1998. She was an excellent role model and helped other women to pursue advanced careers of their own. Her family and friends will always remember her as a great friend, ambitious entrepreneur and humble and modest woman who made many sacrifices for her family.

She was preceded in death by her parents Pedro and Maria Porter; and two brothers, Frank and Carlos Porter.

She is survived by her husband; daughters; son; brother; and her grandchildren.
