Robert Dane Bass, Sr., age 55, of Plano, Texas, passed away September 2, 2010, in Tyler, Texas.
Dane was born October 23, 1954, in Tyler, Texas, to A. D. Alvin Delton and Fredda (Harris) Bass.
He married Magdalena Rueda on March 6, 2000 in McKinney, Texas.
Dane grew up in Tyler where he graduated from Tyler Lee High School. He graduated from Texas A & M University in 1977 with a bachelor degree in business. Dane worked in petrochemical sales and was employed with SolvChem. He enjoyed traveling and dancing in addition to outdoor activities such as hunting and fishing. Dane especially enjoyed spending time with his family. He was a loving father, devoted husband, and a great man of God.
He is survived by his wife, Maggie Bass of Plano, Texas; son, Cade Bass of McKinney, Texas; daughter, Carolina Giusta-Asci and husband, Jason of Dallas, Texas; and sister, Andrea Bass Yarbrough and husband, Tripp, also of Dallas.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a son, Robert Dane Bass, Jr.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Sunday September 5, 2010, at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Chapel in Allen, Texas.
Interment will follow at Ridgeview Memorial Park in Allen.
The family will receive friends during a visitation beginning at 6:00 p.m. Saturday evening at the funeral home.
