William Thomas Browning married Florence Elizabeth Wolfe on 2 December 1885 at Albany, Texas. The couple moved to Stamford in 1900 having lived at Phoenix, Arizona and, Albany. The house he built was one of the first in the pioneer town of Stamford. The couple lived in the same house for 50 years.

Services for Florence Elizabeth Browning, 83, were held at Central Christian Church officiated by the pastor, Rev. M.C. Turpin.

Mrs. Browning was a graduate of Burritt Female Academy of McMinnville, Tennessee. While living in Albany, she taught school. Mrs. Browning was a charter member of the Central Christian Church. She was the first church pianist for the church.

Survived by her husband; one daughter - Mrs. Ethel Mooney; two sons - Louis Browning and Robert McAlpin Browning; three grandchildren; three great-grandchildren.
