Friends may call from 4 to 9 p.m. today at Peterson-Grimsmo Funeral Chapel, Monticello, and one hour before services at the church in Clear Lake. There will be a prayer service at 7:30 tonight at the funeral home.
Bert Goodale was born Aug. 3, 1899, in Fertile to Sidney and Mary (Witty) Goodale. He married Virginia Craighead May 6, 1931, and worked on farms in the Foley, Delano, Clear Lake and Santiago areas.
Survivors include sons and daughters, Kenneth, Richard and Mrs. George (Phyllis) Krause, Delano; Wallace, Ulysses, Texas; Dennis, Garner, Iowa; Mrs. Keith (Janice) Apitz, Lino Lakes; Mrs. Calvin (Joan) Ladd, Minnetonka; Mrs. Harold (Sandra) Cox Jr., Clear Lake; 29 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; brothers and sister. Sidney, St Paul; Ray, Cincinnati, Ohio; and Lillian Dahl, Sauk Rapids.
He was preceded in death by his parents; wife in 1982; one daughter, and one grandson.
Pallbearers will be Douglas, Micky and Brian Goodale, Keith Babatz, Robby Cox and Sean Ladd.
