Catherine Mae Mullenax, age 86, of Durbin, died Tuesday, August 31, 2010, at Elkins Regional Convalescent Center.

Born November 18, 1923, at Bemus, she was a daughter of the late Clawson and Bessie Fogus Sheets.

Catherine was a homemaker and attended Kerr Memorial Chapel.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Stanley Albert Mullenax; and four brothers, Roy Sheets, Clawson "June" Sheets, Jr., Jim Sheets and Charles Sheets.

She is survived by two daughters, Linda Ervin, and husband, Martin "Sonny," and Charlotte Mullenax, and companion, Roger Ervin, all of White Sulphur Springs; a son, David Mullenax, and wife, Rachel, of Elkins; four grandchildren, Shelli Ervin, and friend, Anthony, Kevin Ervin, and wife, Bambi, Emily Young, and husband, Greg, and Katrina Groves, and husband, Lee; five great-grandchildren, Michaella Young, Harmon Young, Justin Shoffner, Jared Shoffner and Jewell Shoffner; a step-great-grandchild, Sabrina Strickland; a brother, George Sheets, and wife, Nancy, of Arbovale; a sister-in-law, Hilda Brock, of Boyer; special friend, Dora Nicely, of Boyer; neighbors at Brush Run and Boyer, Donna Gragg, Doyle and Nancy Carr and the Plank Family; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral service is Friday, September 3, noon at Wallace and Wallace Funeral Home in Arbovale with Rev. David Rittenhouse officiating. Interment will be in the Bethel United Methodist Church Cemetery. Family will receive friends one hour before the service.
