Margaret Ann Grove, 70, Monona, died Sunday, April 20, 2003, at the Great River Care Center, McGregor, following a long illness. She was born in Monona on August 18, 1932, to Dugal and Mary (Peters) Thompson. She attended Monona High School, graduating in 1950. Margaret attended Upper Iowa University in Fayette for one year. She was Homecoming queen at Upper Iowa University.
She was united in marriage to Dennis Lee Grove on October 23, 1950, at the Little Brown Church in Nashua. Four children were born to this union. Margaret was a bookkeeper for Grove Farms and Grove Feed Mill. She also worked for the Monona Greenhouse. She enjoyed golfing, gardening, boating, sewing, traveling, reading, hiking, baking-cooking, and played the piano and clarinet.
Margaret is survived by her husband, Dennis, Monona, four children, Janis Lee (David) Schultz, Manchester, Richard Roy (Cathy) Grove, Monona, Denise Mary (Jack) Schroeder, Hampton, Julia Ann (Ron) Ripps, San Diego, CA; six grandchildren, Justin (Alecia) Grove, Adam and fiancé Carrie Krambeer, Laura (Bart) Bousted, Kyle Schoeder, Caleb Schultz, Jordan Schultz; great grand child, Nathan Ray; two step great-grandchildren, Kathleen and Greg Heller and one brother, Leo (Jeanetta) Thompson, Nashville, IL.
