In the presence of his loving wife, Michael A. Allen reached for the hands of God who then carried him into the Kingdom of Heaven, on January 27, 2006. He will be remembered as a loving, compassionate husband and wonderful father whose life was filled with joy and laughter. Michael joined the Navy in the sixties and served as a Navy/Marine Corpsman in Vietnam where he received two purple hearts and a bronze star. He spent the past several years working as a Service Manager for Cottman Transmission. Michael is survived by his wife, Jennifer A. Allen of 20 years, his father Robert W. Allen, daughters Gena L. Meyers, Heather N. Allen, Tonya L. Skinner, Kristi D. Feiss, son Michael Keylon, ten grandchildren, brothers Robert W. Allen, Jr., Steven F. Allen and David A. Allen and many nieces, nephews and friends who he loved very much. Michael was preceded in death by his mother, Lois J. Allen. Services will be held Friday, February 3, 2006, 11 a.m. at D.W. Newcomer's Sons, Johnson County Chapel, 11200 Metcalf, O.P., KS 66210. Memorial contributions are suggested to Grace Hospice, 9200 Ward Pkwy., KCMO 64114. To Michael, may you rest in peace.
