Alice was the daughter of the late John A. Speed and Ethel D. Speed. She was a 1942 graduate of Stanton High School. She received her B. S. degree in 1947 and her Masters degree in 1949. Mrs. Niblack, retired from the Columbia County School system after 35 years of service. She was a member of New Bethel Baptist Church where she served in the Adult Choir and with The Home Mission Society. Survivors include sisters, Doris S. Paschal (David), Jacksonville, FL, Emma S. Hall, West Palm Beach, FL and Hortense S. Redding, Jacksonville, FL. One brother, Walter Speed, preceded her in death. Numerous cousins, other relatives and friends also survive. Funeral services for Alice Speed Niblack will be 11:00 a.m., Saturday, June 30, 2007 at New Bethel Baptist Church Lake City, FL. Interment will follow in the Garden of Rest Cemetery. Arrangements entrusted to Cooper Funeral Home, 251 N.E. Washington Street, Lake City, FL.
