Richard Milton Blozevich, 71 of Centerville passed away Sunday, August 29, 2010 at Mercy Medical Center in Centerville.
Richard was born to Milton & Mildred(Padavich)Blozevich on May 9, 1939 in Centerville. He married Eleanor Radwick on June 13, 1959 at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Centerville. They moved to Bettendorf where he began work at Alcoa Aluminum Company of America in January 1959. Richard worked in the cold mill department retiring, he returned to Centerville to take over the family farm choosing to make it an organic farm; a challenge he really enjoyed.
Richard was an avid race car fan, a wonderful accordion player, whose music so many enjoyed. He loved fishing and hunting. Richard was a member of St. Mary's parish.
Richard is survived by his wife Eleanor, 5 children; Tammy(Daniel), Ricky, Cathy(Jerry), Jamie(Teresa), Jeff(Julie); seven grandchildren, Cassy(Kent), Tifani, Joel, Jeremy, Josh, Jenna, Jillian, great grandson, Kolton, father in law, Rudy, sister, Nancy(Dr. Ron)Oswalt, nephew, Grant(Shelia)Oswalt and great nieces Shane and Paige, nephew, Reece(Bethany)Oswalt, great nieces Addison, Kendall and Payton, niece, Dr Ashley(Dr. Eric)Schmieg, great niece Lauren Schmieg and great nephew, Jalen Schmieg and a special friend Norma Sparks and family.
A Celebration of Life will be 10am Thursday, September 2, 2010 at Thomas Funeral Home in Centerville. Memorials may be given to the family.
