'Mr. Cleveland Bennett, Sr., was born to the union of Jim and Maude Bennett, March 27, 1900, in Brookston, TX. He professed his hope in Christ at an early age. Mr. Bennett passed from laborer to reward, Jan. 18, 1977. His wife preceded him in death. Leaves to mourn his death, four sons, Cleveland Bennett Jr., Seaside, CA, Billy Bennett, Red Bank, NJ, John Charles Bennett, Lansing, MI and Johnny Minor, Dallas, TX; four daughters, Mrs. Mary Sue Penny, Paris, TX, Mrs. Mrs. Brenda Davis, Miss Diana Bennett, Mrs. Carolun [sic] Glaspie, all of Dallas; 17 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and a host of other relatives. His funeral services will be Saturday, Jan. 22, at 2 p.m. at Maxey Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. C.D. Hilburn officiating. Interment will be in Restlawn Gardens Cemetery. Pallbearers will be lifelong friends.'
