A Halifax-area man was killed and his friend was injured in a one-car accident yesterday on a dirt road just outside the borough, police said.

Killed was Terry Lee Eisner Jr., 18, of the 2000 block of Armstrong Valley Road, Halifax Twp. The accident occurred on Matamoras Road (Route 553) about 12: 50 p.m.

Eisner's friend, Jonathan Mark Clemson, 19, of the 100 block of Dusty Trail Drive, Halifax Twp., had moderate injuries police said. He was taken to Polyclinic Medical Center where a report on his condition was not available last night.

Eisner was pronounced dead at Hershey Medical Center, where he was flown by the medical center's Life Lion helicopter, police said.

State police at Lykens said they are not sure who was driving the car, a 1985 Chevy Camaro. The car was traveling west when it skidded on the two-lane dirt roadway and overturned, troopers said.

They said the accident occurred about a half-mile west of the Wayne Twp. line.
