Funeral services for John Allen Burch, 37 [sic], retired Jackson cabinetmaker who died at a local hospital early yesterday, will be held this afternoon at 1 o'clock from the residence, 820 Poindexter street, with Rev. J. A. Wells, pastor of Glendale Methodist church, officiating. Following the service here the body will be taken to Wesson, where final rites will be conducted at 3 o'clock in the Wesson Baptist church. Rev. Lowery, pastor, will officiate. Burial will be made in the Wesson cemetery. Mr. Burch had been sick for only several days. He was a native of Kentwood, La., but had resided here for the past several years. He was formerly associated with the Jackson Casket and Manufacturing company. Surviving besides his widow, are two sons, William E. Burch, Earl Burch, both of Jackson; two sisters, Mrs. J. F. Reed, Jackson; Mrs. L. E. Tolbert [sic], Terry; four grandchildren and several half-brothers and half-sisters. Pallbearers will be W. T. Moore, J. S. Webber, A. J. Busby, Fred Norton, E. F. Reynolds, and T. M. Bramlette.
