Etta Belle Dugger, 67, of Palmer died Friday, July 22, 1988 at St. Paul following a lengthy illness.
Services were held Monday, July 25, 1988 at 2 p.m. in the United Methodist Church at Palmer. The Rev. Delano Cunningham officiated. Burial was in the Rose Hill Cemetery.....
Mrs. Dugger was born December 18, 1920 at O'Neill, the daughter of Lewis and Belle Reece Knapp. She moved to Palmer at the age of seven following the death of her parents. She was raised by Frank and Birdia Knapp. She graduated from Palmer High School in 1939 and attended Nebraska Central College. She married Glen Dugger on March 12, 1945, at Central City. She retired in 1984 after teaching school for 25 years.
She was a member of the United Methodist Church, the American Legion Auxiliary, Loup Valley Homemakers, and the P.A.L. 70, and the NSEA.
Survivors include her husband, Glen; four sons: Thomas of Germany; Stephen and D. D., both of Palmer; and William of Valentine; one daugher, Mrs. Harold (Helen) Kaiser of Loomis; six sisters; Mrs. Bill (Lola) Hungerford, Ruby Morton and Anita Morton, all of Bassett; Mrs. Helmer (Mary) Midfeldt of Ogallala; Rita Morton of Griswold, Iowa; and Agnes Pearson of Phoenix, Arizona; 16 grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
She was preceded in death by two brothers and three sisters.
